Pranksters? Or Was Someone Hungry in Trussville?
There's never a dull moment in real estate. Tuesday morning I received a text message and this photo from one of my sweet home sellers in Trussville........
"Someone jacked up our sign!"
When I drove over to replace the sign I noticed several other signs had been destroyed and some far worse than this one. Thankfully, it was just the signs and I'm not aware of any damage to neighbor's vehicles or other property.
So was it pranksters? It's Spring Break. Draw your own conclusions.

been there done that... one night we had several signs stolen out here and they were all dumped in another neighbor's yard as a prank...two of mine were taken and I only found one of them...my guess is it will be found someday in a canal.
Hmm, teenagers + basball bat (or something similar) + parents who have no idea where their kids are = extra expenses for local agents.
Mark, this was the first time I've had this happen to me. I felt so violated LOL!
Than, I hope they don't come back!
Have never understood when people willingly destroy property, cant imagine they really derive pleasure in that. Sorry for the destruction...
You know it was just stupid destruction. I can understand (although not agree) with pranks such as maybe putting a mustache on your picture. Slightly altering the phone number so it answers at some risque business. This is just senseless.
Wow! Only vandaism I've seen recently are a few spray painted signs. Course, it's been cold out.....spring is coming some time. Hopefully we'll not see any problems here!
Ann, I came over from Debbie's post. I just don't get vandalism at all! When I was in local government we had to deal with everything from spray painting to people setting our playgrounds on fire! What a waste of time and money! Upsetting.
Ann, I am sorry you were struck by vandals. I do not call that kind of destruction a prank.
Make it a great weekend.
Ann - It is a shame that people have to vandalize. I came over to your blog by recommendation of Debbie Reynolds. Looks like you have some interesting blogs. I am going to subscribe.
Ann- idle hands, right. It would be nice if the pranksters were caught and forced to reimburse and manually replace the signs.
OHHH NO! This is so awful. I hope that it has not happened again since you posted this blog.

I never have quite understood how someone gets enjoyment out of hurting one's property
